Ten percent of our annual budget is allocated to supporting a variety of missionaries in the United States and around the world.

Jeff, Haiti
Jeff serves as the Minister at the Excelsior Church of Christ in Kalkaska, Michigan. In most years he makes two trips to Haiti where he has worked to establish a sustainable food supply and help with hurricane recovery.

CIY exists to imapct the Kingdom of Christ thorugh the lives of young people. Our high school students attend a conference each summer. 2007 was the first time we have had a preteen group attend Super Start.

John, Russia
John has made numerous trips to Russia.

The Fittros have been working to plant churches in Great Britian since the mid-1990s. They are currently working with the schools in Nottingham. Through after school and lunch programs they teach children about Christ and the Bible. The relationships they build are the foundation of establishing a church.

Established in 1949 GLCC an institution of higher education affiliated with Christan Churches/Churches of Christ, seeks to glorify God by preparing students to be servant-leaders in the church and world. In addition to full-time local ministry those from our congregation that have attende Great Lakes work in the fields of foreign missions, banking, technology, and education.

H.A.S.T.E.N. International (Health and Salvation to Every Nation)

Matt and Shelby and their family live in NW Siberia where they are working on a Bible translation for a reindeer herding people.  They are the first with PBT to enter this field, and are Project Facilitators for the new workers God is sending to work with other people groups in the area.

His House Christian Fellowhship is present on 11 Michigan university campuses, and affiliated with one each in Indiana and Wisconson. Of those students from our congregation that do not attend a Bible college, the majority are actively involved with His House.

Team Expansion www.teamexpansion.org

Team Expansion seeks to develop partnerships with local congregations to further  the spread of the Gospel by planting churches worldwide. We believe that partnering with local churches is an essential component of successful cross-cultural ministry. That's why we're thrilled to be working side by side with St. Louis Church of Christ in spreading the good news around the world. We work in areas where less than 5% are evangelical believers and we seek to plant an indigenous church in the most effective & efficient way possible. As of the end of 2006, there were 300 full-time missionaries working with Team Expansion among some 70 people groups in over 40 nations. In particular, St. Louis' support helps empower the work of Team Expansion's President, directly, Doug Lucas. As President, Doug is responsible for 4 different groups that focus on recruiting new missionaries & opening new fields, training them, addressing their prayer needs and their details, then helping to empower them and hold them accountable for the long haul.

RLCA offers a camping opportunities starting at 1st grade thorugh adults. Wilderness canoe trips and hiking are offered for middle and high school students. Family camping is available throughout the summer. Retreats are organized for men an women. The camp facilities are often utilized by supporting congregations for leadership retreats. Scholarships for Bible College Students
Every year we allocate a portion of our missions budge to assist students from our congregation who will be attending Great Lakes Christian College.
